ACCESS PARTNERS - MINISTRY UPDATES

"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58

Faithful Labor is Not In Vain

We trust the Lord is working in you to stand firm and give yourselves fully to His work. Praise God our work is not in vain, but is instead for His glory!

Last month, we told you about our strategic plan for this year. Please pray for wisdom as we refine and implement this plan. Reaching the lost in the darkest places of this world requires being both completely dependent on God?s working and as strategic as possible. We hope you will pray for our ability to do both!

This month, we wander into one of those spiritually dark places to tell you more about a specific people group virtually unreached with the Gospel, as well as about a family laboring hard to reach them.

The Z People are a major ethnic group in this Asian country. They live in very remote areas, subject to harsh living conditions. Like much of the world, the Z's are changing with the rest of society. Clans, their historic system of governance, are fading into history along with many of their traditions. Something that has remained constants for centuries, however, is their faith in Islam. Just .01% of the Z's claim to be Christians and know the Savior.

It is in dark areas such as these, where most have never heard the truth of the Gospel, that we focus our efforts. Thankfully, the Brooks' are one family who have shed the comforts of Western, free societies to live and minister to the Z's.

They have made it their ambition not to let any obstacle deter them from what God has called them to, but instead to give themselves fully to reaching the Z people. They now live in a very remote area of Central Asia and are the only Christian influence in their town or the surrounding region.

By God's grace, the Brooks family has lived in the area for more than five years, and Mr. Brooks has used his skills as an engineer to work on water purity issues in the town. While it is a valuable service, they are looking to find a more suitable business platform that provides greater interaction with the community and allow them to remain in their city long-term.

That is where Access Partners fits it. As we mentioned last month, part of our new strategy is to focus our efforts on developing business concepts which share many of the same foundations, making replication easy. As we begin working together on helping the Brooks' achieve access and legitimacy, please pray for the Brooks' and Access Partners that we will find a business that is interesting, sustainable, and effective for them.

Please Pray!

By God's grace, we encourage you to stand firm in prayer for the spread of the Gospel to those that have never heard it, like the Z people. Pray that God would be at work among the Z people to draw them to Himself, and call other faithful laborers to the harvest. Please also remember the Brooks', and ask God that he would allow them to continue to faithfully work with the strength that only He can provide. Thank you and may God bless you in the growing knowledge and obedience of Him in 2008!

Soli Deo Gloria,

Access Partners Team
