Board
Mark Dever graduated from Duke University in 1982. He holds the Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, the Master of Theology degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Historical Theology from Cambridge University. Dr. Dever has authored several books and articles, including a full-length book entitled Nine Marks of a Healthy Church (Crossway). Mark is the senior pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church. Mark is also on the Board of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals.
Andrew Johnson holds a Ph.D. in agricultural sciences from Texas A&M and worked as a senior staffer in the United States Senate Agricultural Committee. Andy oversees all missions efforts at Capitol Hill Baptist Church and serves on the Board of Trustees of the International Mission Board. He joined Capitol Hill Baptist Church as its associate pastor in 2006.
Michael Lawrence attended Duke University in Durham, NC. In 1997, he completed a Master of Divinity degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Following work with a New England church plant, Michael and his family moved to England. There, Michael worked toward a Ph.D. at Cambridge University, completing the program in 2002. He joined Capitol Hill Baptist Church as its associate pastor in 2003.
